Two teenagers have been detained in the Moscow region after opening fire on people with an air gun, injuring a 12-year-old boy. The incident occurred in the “Gorki Park” residential complex in the village of Korobovo, Leninsky urban district.

The perpetrators, born in 2007 and 2008, were reportedly shooting from the balcony of a sixth-floor apartment on Aviatorov Street, according to local residents. One resident claimed the shooters were targeting children and that one of the shots struck a boy who was walking nearby with his mother.

Police were called to the scene by the injured boy’s mother. A rapid response team and representatives from the management company also arrived.

Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk stated that the suspects have been apprehended. She added that authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Moscow Region police are taking steps to clarify all the details of the event, and a decision regarding potential legal action will be made based on the investigation’s findings.

This incident follows another recent case in Drozhzhino, where a disabled stepfather was arrested for severely beating his stepson, resulting in the child’s hospitalization.
