A fire that engulfed a 1,200 square meter all-metal warehouse hangar in the Leningrad region has been extinguished. The warehouse, located in the village of Lepsari, Vsevolozhsk district, contained cardboard and household waste.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the fire was fully extinguished at 7:38 PM on Wednesday.
The fire broke out the previous day at 8:00 PM and was localized by 2:30 AM. During the fire, the roof collapsed over the entire 1,200 square meter area.
Open burning was eliminated by 6:10 AM.
There were no reported casualties as of the evening of July 30.
The Department of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work of the Vsevolozhsk district is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
