Novosibirsk’s fountains will operate as usual on August 2nd, Airborne Forces Day, despite a tradition of celebrants bathing in them. The city hall’s press center confirmed this via the Department of Road and Landscaping Complex.

The department noted that fountains operated normally on the same day last year.

However, today the fountain in Pervomaisky Square was not working, but it is not known if it is related to the holiday.

Two years ago, some fountains were shut down on Airborne Forces Day.
