A 45-year-old St. Petersburg resident died on Dobleсти Street in the Krasnoselsky district after being run over by an SUV. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. near building 18, building 1, on Dobleсти Street.

The driver, a 33-year-old employee of a local shipyard, was operating an EXEED TXL SUV when the accident happened. According to preliminary reports, the driver was traveling along the driveway next to the building when he struck the resident, who was lying on the roadway.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The driver has no record of administrative liability for traffic violations this year.
