A 44-year-old St. Petersburg resident has been detained and faces a criminal case following a shooting incident at the gates of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoselsky district.
The incident took place on Tambasov Street around 11 p.m. on Navy Day, when an individual fired a shot upwards at the metal gates of the police department.
The suspect was identified through CCTV footage.
Following an investigation, the man was apprehended on Tuesday morning. He resides on Dobrovol’tsev Street. A “Pioneer” signal pistol was discovered in his backpack.
The individual was taken into custody, and an administrative protocol was drawn up. He was placed in a cell while authorities determine whether to initiate a criminal case.
