A man and a woman in St. Petersburg have been sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest for attempting to engage in sexual activity in public. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of July 28th near a liquor store, drawing the attention of authorities.

The Primorsky District Court handed down the sentence after reviewing evidence related to the event. The couple, identified as Karen Azatyan and Lyudmila Menshikova, were apprehended after their actions were caught on video.

Daria Lebedeva, head of the united press service of the St. Petersburg courts, confirmed the details of the case. The incident took place at approximately 4:10 am.

Azatyan pleaded guilty to the charge of petty hooliganism and expressed willingness to pay a fine. However, the court opted for the administrative arrest. Menshikova, while maintaining her innocence, also received a 15-day sentence.

Authorities confirmed that the couple did not manage to complete the act before being stopped. The case has garnered attention due to its public nature and the subsequent legal action.
