Two men, including 27-year-old Andrey Ushakov, were found dead in an apartment on Mayakovsky Street in Yekaterinburg, Russia, on July 28th, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding their simultaneous deaths. Ushakov had been reported missing from his home the day before.
Friends and acquaintances are baffled by the absence of any apparent cause of death. There were no signs of violence, forced entry, or theft at the scene.
One friend noted the lack of any visible injuries or disturbances, stating that it appeared as if the men had simply fallen asleep and never awakened. The possibility of poisoning is being considered, although friends insist that Ushakov was a healthy, athletic individual with no history of drug use.
Olga, a childhood friend, shared fond memories of Ushakov, describing him as a righteous and patriotic person who stood up for justice. She recalled a cherished moment when they danced to his favorite song, “I Want Silence” by AntiRespect. She also emphasized that Ushakov had a strong aversion to drugs and substance abuse.
Ushakov, who had previously served in the Rosgvardia and the police, had been working as a Gazelle driver for a road construction company. He had been divorced for over a year and was reportedly not in contact with his former spouse.
The E1.RU editorial staff extended condolences to the families of the deceased and appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
