Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place at three Novosibirsk cemeteries on Sunday, June 8th, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM in observance of the Holy Trinity holiday. The affected cemeteries are Zayeltsovskoye, Gusinobrodskoye, and Kleshchikhinskoye.
These restrictions aim to manage traffic flow and ensure the safety and order of visitors during the religious holiday. Law enforcement officers will be present at all public cemeteries in Novosibirsk to maintain security.
The restrictions will not apply to special vehicles providing ritual services or vehicles belonging to the public utility sector.
The Holy Trinity holiday, celebrated on the 50th day after Easter, commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles in Jerusalem. It is a day of remembrance and reflection.
Prior to Trinity Sunday, Trinity Parental Saturday is observed, during which families traditionally visit and maintain the graves of loved ones. The Church encourages the cleaning of unmarked graves as well.
