Clarification on Updating Resident Parking Permits in St. Petersburg After Passport Replacement

St. Petersburg’s City Parking Management Center has provided clarity on whether residents need to update their parking permits after replacing a passport. The necessity depends on whether personal data has changed.

If a passport is changed due to age (20 or 45) and personal data remains the same, updating the parking permit is not mandatory. However, it is advised to update personal data in the Unified Identification and Authentication System (ESIA).

If personal data, such as last name, first name, or patronymic, has changed with the new passport, then updating the parking permit is required. This can be done at any MFC office or through the St. Petersburg State Services portal after receiving the new passport.

To update a parking permit online through the regional State Services portal:

First, update personal data on the federal State Services portal.

Next, re-authorize on the St. Petersburg State Services portal to ensure the system uses the latest information when submitting an application.

Then, find the “Entering a record about a resident’s parking permit in the Register” service and click “Submit an application.”

In the application, select “Making changes to the register” as the application type.

Provide the current parking permit number, the date of the change, and in the “Circumstances leading to a change in information” section, enter the last name, first name, patronymic, and new passport data.

Finally, confirm the data and send the application.

A notification about the application review will be sent within 10 business days, or up to 20 days if interdepartmental requests are needed.
