A housekeeper is currently wanted by police in the Kurortny district of St. Petersburg, suspected of stealing a significant amount of cash and valuable designer watches from his employer. The 60-year-old victim, a co-founder of a transportation advertising firm, reported the theft upon returning home from a trip with his wife.
The missing items include five wristwatches valued at over 4 million rubles, along with 400,000 rubles and 800 dollars that were being kept in the refrigerator in the office. The family had been away on vacation since early April and had entrusted their property in Zelenogorsk to a married couple who had been assisting with household tasks since 2023 and residing in the guest house.
Upon their return, the owners discovered that the husband was missing. The wife of the suspect stated that she had not seen her 42-year-old husband since May 11. She reported that he had been neglecting his duties recently, spending time in the owner’s rooms, inquiring about the value of the watch collection, and then disappeared along with his belongings.
The suspect is now wanted by law enforcement. He has a history of theft convictions. In a prior case, he received a 3-year sentence in a settlement colony for stealing a UAZ in the Altai Territory. He stole the vehicle with a sleeping acquaintance in the back, and also stole 135,000 rubles found inside the vehicle.
