A new sports complex, named the “Volleyball Academy,” is slated for construction near the Lokomotiv Arena volleyball center in Novosibirsk. The project has received support from the regional investment council and will be located on Frunze Street.

The academy will span approximately 9,000 square meters and feature four standard volleyball courts, along with a dedicated children’s court.

Facilities will also include locker rooms with showers, coaching areas, a medical room, and outdoor training spaces.

The investment for the project is estimated to exceed 1.6 billion rubles.

Construction is expected to be completed by December 2027.

The Volleyball Academy is projected to generate 459.6 million rubles in tax revenues for the Novosibirsk region’s consolidated budget between 2028 and 2040.

Plans were also announced in late 2024 for a separate multifunctional sports complex to be built near the Kedrovy residential complex on Legendarnaya Street.
