The Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Landmarks (KGIOP) has approved the reconstruction of CHP plant pipes on Novgorodskaya Street, reducing their height from 120 meters to 110 meters.
The decision, made public on May 30, aims to reduce the non-compliance with height regulations.
The project concerns power plant No. 2 of the Central CHP Plant No. 1, located at 11 Novgorodskaya Street.
A project for a multifunctional complex, including Gazprom offices, a hotel, and catering facilities, has previously been approved for the CHP-2 territory on Novgorodskaya Street. The boiler room is planned to be transformed into a transformable theater and dance hall.
The station is currently owned by PJSC TGC-1, which had previously requested the establishment of a public and business development zone (TD1-2) in the area.
