An 84-year-old woman from St. Petersburg’s Kalininsky district has fallen victim to telephone scammers, losing 14 million rubles. The incident occurred after the woman received calls from individuals posing as employees of various services.

The elderly woman handed over her savings to an unknown person who came to her location on Demyan Bedny Street. The money transfer took place approximately two weeks ago.

Due to her age, the victim was unable to recall specific details about the individual who collected the money.

Law enforcement has initiated a criminal investigation into the large-scale fraud case.
