Novosibirsk residents should prepare for a G1-level magnetic storm expected to hit the city on July 22 and 23. Data from the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI and ISZF indicates geomagnetic unrest will persist until the end of July.
The magnetosphere will be in an excited state on July 21, as well as on the 28th and 29th. The solar activity-induced disturbances can impact satellites, radio communications, and the well-being of weather-sensitive individuals.
While the remaining days of July are predicted to be geomanetically calm, the forecast remains subject to change due to potential solar flares.
For those sensitive to weather fluctuations, it is recommended to increase water intake, prioritize rest, and avoid alcohol, nicotine, and caffeinated beverages.
The Novosibirsk region had been experiencing a return of heat prior to this forecast.
