Two men died in a fire that engulfed a two-apartment building in the ObGES microdistrict of Novosibirsk on the evening of June 2. The blaze occurred on Universalnaya Street in the Soviet district.

Firefighters responding to the scene at 8:12 PM discovered the house was on fire inside, locating the bodies of the two men in apartment number two at 8:22 PM.

The fire damaged a room and kitchen in the apartment, with another room also affected. The total fire area within the apartment reached 23 square meters.

The roof above apartments number one and number two sustained fire damage across an area of 40 square meters.

The fire was contained by 8:21 PM and completely extinguished by 9:12 PM. Emergency services, including police, firefighters, and an ambulance, were present at the scene.
