The “Anton is Right Here” Foundation has launched a new consulting service to support autistic adults and parents of children with mental disabilities. The service provides free consultations with curators, tutors, and coordinators from the charitable organization.
The foundation aims to leverage its extensive experience to address common questions from families across Russia, such as finding competent psychiatrists, inclusive educational institutions, and suitable activities for children with ASD.
Since 2021, the foundation has been offering consultations in a test mode, initially relying on word-of-mouth referrals. Currently, the consulting service team comprises eight employees who conduct 350 consultations annually and maintain a comprehensive encyclopedia of guides and resources.
The service addresses inquiries related to ASD and inclusion, provides recommendations for trusted specialists and inclusive environments, educates on evidence-based support methods for autistic individuals, and collaborates with families to identify tailored solutions. The foundation emphasizes that the consultations are not intended to provide medical diagnoses or therapeutic sessions, but rather to offer guidance and connect families with appropriate resources.
The foundation’s coordinator, Olya Shibaeva, highlighted the importance of the project employees’ involvement in other foundation programs, which provides valuable experience working with autistic adults and children, fostering understanding, empathy, and respect. Information on how to register for a free consultation can be found in the foundation’s official group.
Established in St. Petersburg in 2013, the “Anton is Right Here” Charitable Foundation is dedicated to providing systemic support for individuals with autism. The foundation’s programs focus on establishing a comprehensive life path for autistic individuals in Russia, encompassing early diagnosis, inclusive education, supported employment, and independent living.
