Ekaterina Mizulina Requests Investigation of Rapper Icegergert for Nazi Symbol Promotion

Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Safe Internet League, has requested an investigation into the tracks of rapper Icegergert (real name Georgy Gergert) for potential promotion of Nazi symbols. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is currently reviewing the 23-year-old artist’s work for signs of promoting Nazi symbols or extremist organizations, as well as drug propaganda.

The request follows an incident in early May 2025, where a mass brawl occurred at Icegergert’s concert in Ufa. *Mizulina suggested that the performer may indirectly provoke fights during events and that there may be signs of propaganda of prohibited substances and the promotion of AUE in his tracks.**

Icegergert, originally from Bratsk in the Irkutsk region, entered the Forbes “30 Under 30” list for 2025, which recognizes young and promising individuals in various fields. He began experimenting with music while attending the Suvorov Military School in St. Petersburg. His career gained momentum after joining the Gaz (“Gazgolder”) music label, headed by rapper Basta, and recording tracks with artists like Guf and Big Baby Tape.

The rapper is scheduled to perform in Moscow this Thursday, June 5, at the Atmosphere club, and the venue has confirmed that the concert will proceed as planned.

*AUE (extremist organization, activity is prohibited in the Russian Federation).
