Park Pobedy Metro Station in St. Petersburg Closes for Two-Year Renovation

The Park Pobedy metro station in St. Petersburg has been closed for renovation and will remain closed for approximately two years, until the fall of 2027.

To mitigate the inconvenience, the Transport Committee has announced alternative transportation options for passengers.

Several bus and tram routes will connect the closed Park Pobedy station to the nearest operational metro stations, Elektrosila and Moskovskaya.

Specifically, buses No. 3, 26, 50, 226, 263, and 281, along with trams No. 29 and 29B, will serve as alternative routes. Tram No. 45 will also provide access to Moskovskaya station.

To enhance service, a new route, No. 29B, has been launched, operating on a section of the 29th route from Tram Park No. 1 to Yuri Gagarin Avenue, with peak-hour intervals of no more than six minutes.

The Transport Committee has also increased the number of public transport vehicles on weekdays to accommodate passengers traveling to Elektrosila and Moskovskaya stations. Additionally, trolleybus route No. 26 will be modified to improve transport accessibility to new residential areas on Kuznetsovskaya Street.

The SKA hockey club has cited the station closure as a factor in their decision not to use the SKA Arena on Yuri Gagarin Avenue for the upcoming season.
