Two women were hospitalized after being struck by a broken attachment during a parasailing incident on a Black Sea beach in Golubitskaya on June 27.
The Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the incident occurred when an attachment broke during the parachute’s ascent, which was being towed by a boat.
The injured women were immediately transported to a medical facility for treatment of their injuries.
Following the incident, the Investigative Committee has initiated a pre-investigation check.
Police have also launched an investigation into the incident. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the region, this action was taken after publications about the incident, even though law enforcement officers had not received any direct appeals regarding the matter.
