A paramedic in St. Petersburg required medical attention after being attacked by an intoxicated resident while responding to a call. The incident occurred on Sunday at house number 35 on Zamshina Street in the Kalininsky district.
The paramedic was injured while assisting a 33-year-old man who was found lying on the ground. As the paramedic escorted the man to the ambulance, the intoxicated individual became aggressive and injured him.
The aggressor, who was heavily intoxicated, was hospitalized following the incident. The paramedic sustained a hand injury, specifically a closed nail fracture, and was treated as an outpatient.
Police are currently investigating the incident. Preliminary reports indicate the aggressor pulled the paramedic’s finger.
In a separate incident, another paramedic was injured in Kolpino after a conflict with a patient’s husband escalated into a physical altercation.
