An 87-year-old woman, Klavdiya Khudyakova, has gone missing in Pervouralsk after a visit to a bank, prompting concerns that she may be the victim of fraudsters. Klavdiya Khudyakova’s disappearance on June 11th has sparked an intensive search effort.
The LizaAlert search party is actively involved and suggests a potential link to fraudulent activities, given similar incidents in the region. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the police or volunteer search teams.
Klavdiya Khudyakova was last seen after withdrawing a significant amount of money from her bank account. She uses crutches and moves slowly, making her potentially vulnerable. Taxi drivers are being asked to pay close attention, as fraudsters sometimes use taxi services to transport victims to different cities.
Recent cases in the area highlight a disturbing trend of elderly individuals falling prey to scams. Last year, a teacher from Bobrovsky was manipulated into handing over a substantial sum to individuals posing as “FSB officers” in another city. Similarly, Nadezhda Nikulina, a 57-year-old from Krasnoufimsk, vanished and was later found in Pervouralsk, having taken out loans to send money to Ukrainian scammers.
Another incident involved Tatyana Novikova, a local historian from Revda, who was discovered hiding in Pervouralsk after being deceived by individuals impersonating security officials.
