Multiple regions in Russia experienced drone attacks overnight, prompting air defense systems to engage and resulting in damage to infrastructure and residential areas. The incidents occurred in the Kursk, Voronezh, and Ryazan regions.
In Kursk, air defense systems successfully shot down drones, but falling debris caused fires in private houses and a garage. Apartment buildings also sustained damage, with glazing being affected. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
The Voronezh region faced a more extensive drone incursion, with over 15 drones reportedly destroyed or suppressed across three municipalities. While there were no casualties among the civilian population, several private houses and cars suffered damage, including some in Voronezh itself. A section of the M-4 “Don” highway leading towards Rostov was temporarily closed after a drone fell on a power line, severing a high-voltage wire.
The Ryazan region also experienced damage from falling drone debris, with cars damaged and windows broken in several residential buildings in Ryazan. Authorities are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage in all affected regions.
