The Hydrometeorological Service of North Macedonia (HMRC) forecasts sunny and very hot conditions today, accompanied by slight to moderate cloudiness. The afternoon and evening may bring local development of unstable clouds, leading to torrential rain and thunderstorms. Some areas could experience brief storms with strong winds and isolated hailstorms.
The minimum temperature is expected to range from 12 to 20 degrees Celsius, while the maximum will soar between 32 and 40 degrees. Skopje will also experience sunny and very hot weather, with slight to moderate unstable cloudiness in the afternoon. A weak to moderate south wind is expected. The minimum temperature in Skopje will be around 20 degrees, with a maximum of 40 degrees.
The very hot weather is expected to persist until Tuesday, with daily temperatures exceeding 40°C in some locations. The first two days of next week may also see local instability and a moderate, and in the western parts, a strong southwest wind.
A significant change in weather is anticipated on Wednesday and Thursday, with a strong north wind bringing a considerable drop in daily temperatures. The northern parts of the country are likely to experience local rainfall on Wednesday.
