VMRO-DPMNE has accused the previous SDS and DUI government of systematically destroying social life and establishing a system of crime and corruption during their seven-year rule, with lasting consequences on the judiciary.
The party claims that the judiciary suffered greatly under the previous administration, alleging that judges and prosecutors were hand-picked by Zoran Zaev and that these individuals now deliver or sell injustice.
VMRO-DPMNE cited a recent decision by the Judicial Council to justify a lenient two-year prison sentence for a driver who killed a young girl at a pedestrian crossing as an example of this injustice. They contrasted this with a five-year sentence for stealing kebabs, arguing that such decisions instill distrust and kill hope in citizens.
According to VMRO-DPMNE, the members of the Judicial Council who made this decision are Zaev’s people, chosen during the rule of SDS and DUI, and should have resigned after a vote of no confidence. The party stated that these members continue to deliver and justify injustice, trampling on justice and destroying the state.
VMRO-DPMNE called for an end to this situation and demanded responsibility, asserting that the current judicial system is rotten and must fall. They believe that the state and citizens need a judicial system composed of people with high moral credibility who will work exclusively in their interest and in the interest of justice.
