VMRO-DPMNE is calling for an investigation into why former Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Bitici allegedly kept classified documents at his home. The opposition party is demanding answers regarding the nature of the documents, how they ended up in his possession, and their intended use.

The party questioned whether the removal of classified documents from institutions is a common practice within SDS, suggesting the documents could be used for blackmail and abuse. They emphasized that state officials are not authorized to remove such documents from secure locations.

According to VMRO-DPMNE, Bitici himself stated that a folder containing classified documents was stolen during a robbery at his home. The party is demanding that Bitici clarify what kind of classified documents were involved and whether he possesses the necessary security clearance to handle such information.

VMRO-DPMNE raised concerns about whether the documents contained state secrets and whether their disclosure could endanger national security. They are urging SDS and Bitici to immediately inform the authorities about the nature of the information.
