VMRO-DPMNE has accused the mayor of Kriva Palanka of disseminating false information and inciting panic among residents over the past week.
The party claims that the mayor, Sashko Mitovski from SDSM, falsely stated that cyanide levels in the Kriva River were 100 times higher than permitted.
VMRO-DPMNE asserts that the State Environmental Inspectorate has determined there is no cyanide in the river’s waters.
They are calling on competent institutions to investigate Mitovski’s actions and respond accordingly.
VMRO-DPMNE alleges that Mitovski knowingly spread panic for political gain leading up to the local elections.
The party reiterates that cyanide levels in the Kriva River are within the allowed limits.
They further state that SDSM promotes fake news and seeks selective justice while ignoring their own shortcomings.
