Vlatko Stefanovski to Be Joined by Momcilo Bajagic Bajaga for Anniversary Concerts

Momcilo Bajagic Bajaga, the renowned singer-songwriter and leader of the band “Bajaga and Instructors,” will be the main guest of Vlatko Stefanovski at his jubilee concerts. These concerts, taking place on May 9 and 10, commemorate Stefanovski’s 50 years in the music industry.

These two musical icons have a longstanding history of collaboration and friendship, and their joint performance in Skopje promises to create memorable moments for the audience. Alongside Bajaga, other respected musicians will share the stage with Stefanovski, including clarinetist Goran Bojchevski, multi-instrumentalist Damir Imeri, bassist Ivan Kukic, and Stefanovski’s son, Jan, on drums.

Due to high demand, a second date, May 10, 2025, has been added after the first concert at the Macedonian Philharmonic quickly sold out. The concerts will showcase a range of music from his career, from his time with the group “Leb i sol” to his successful solo career.

The distinctive combination of instrumental rock, ethno jazz, blues, and Macedonian traditional music will be enhanced by the special guests. Attendees can anticipate performances of classic songs like “Chukni vo drvo,” “Gipsy Song,” “Chuvam nok od budni,” “Kao kakao,” and “Macedonian girl.” Stefanovski recently recorded the album “London Sessions” at Abbey Road Studio 3 in London, collaborating with top musicians, including his son Jan Stefanovski on drums and Tihomir Hojak on electric double bass. Goran Martinac oversaw the recording and production, with final processing by Grammy winner Sean McGee. The album is available as a triple-LP edition.
