Violin Fest is celebrating its 11th edition this year, commencing with events in Bitola before its main concert in Skopje. The festival, dedicated to showcasing young violin talent, begins with a symbolic return to its origins.
The festival’s official program starts with two key events in Bitola: a public class and festival presentation at the Music School on May 8 and a concert at the Officer’s House on May 12. Young violinists from music schools in Bitola, Prilep, and Ohrid will perform at the concert.
Founded by violinist Vladimir Kostov, who also began his musical journey in Bitola, the festival aims to provide a platform for young talents. Kostov emphasizes the festival’s commitment to the violin and its journey from Bitola to Skopje and beyond.
The main concert will take place on June 9 at 8:00 PM in the Chamber Hall of the Macedonian Philharmonic in Skopje. Entrance to all events is free, and the project is supported by the Ministry of Culture.
