Verstappen Secures Pole Position for Japanese Grand Prix

Max Verstappen clinched pole position for the Japanese Grand Prix, marking his fourth consecutive pole at the Suzuka track. The current world champion achieved a record-breaking lap time of 1:26.983, ending McLaren’s recent qualifying dominance.

Verstappen narrowly edged out McLaren’s Lando Norris by 0.012 seconds, with Oscar Piastri in the other McLaren finishing third, 0.044 seconds behind.

Charles Leclerc will start fourth for Ferrari, followed by George Russell of Mercedes in fifth. Andrea Kimi Antonelli will line up next to his teammate Russell on the grid.

Rounding out the top ten are Isaac Hadjar, Lewis Hamilton, Alex Albon, and Oliver Berman.

The Japanese Grand Prix is scheduled to begin on Sunday at 7:00 AM Central European Time.
