Venko Filipche, the president of SDSM, stated that North Macedonia must unite and persevere on its path to European Union integration, despite the lengthy process and past sacrifices. He made these remarks during a debate on the benefits of the Reform Agenda 2024-2027, held by the Committee on European Affairs and the National Council for European Integration.

Filipche highlighted the significant sacrifices North Macedonia has made without seeing substantial progress toward EU membership. He emphasized that the EU represents a crucial source of investment in human capital, citing the positive transformations in neighboring countries that have advanced in their negotiation processes.

Filipche stressed the importance of unity in overcoming obstacles on the path to European integration. He urged a shift in perspective, advocating for proactive engagement and collective effort to address challenges.

He cautioned against inaction, stating that future generations would not forgive the current generation for neglecting these issues. Filipche emphasized that united efforts would pool all available capacities, rendering any obstacle surmountable.
