Unstable Weather Alert: Torrential Rain, Thunderstorms, and Strong Winds Expected

Unstable weather patterns are expected to persist, bringing torrential rain and thunderstorms to several areas across the country. The Hydro-meteorological Service (UHMR) warns of strong winds and the potential for hail in some locations.

The western mountainous regions, the Ohrid-Prespa area, and Pelagonia experienced significant rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds this afternoon due to unstable cloud cover. The UHMR forecasts similar conditions to continue throughout the remainder of the day.

Tomorrow’s weather is expected to be variably cloudy with intermittent rain and thunderstorms. Certain regions may experience more intense storms characterized by heavy rainfall, strong winds, and the possibility of isolated hail. Minimum temperatures will range from 4 to 10 degrees Celsius, while maximum temperatures will reach between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius.

Skopje can anticipate afternoon instability, with localized torrential rains and thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds and the possibility of hail. Temperatures in the capital will fluctuate between 9 and 23 degrees Celsius.

The UHMR predicts that this changeable and cooler weather will persist in the coming days, with occasional local rain. However, weather conditions are expected to stabilize from Tuesday onwards, with predominantly sunny skies, cooler morning temperatures, and a gradual increase in daily temperatures.
