VMRO-DPMNE accuses CCM leadership of exploiting workers for personal gain, turning union activity into a lucrative endeavor for its leaders, while advocating for minimum wage with apparent hypocrisy. Union leaders like Slobodan Trendafilov are criticized for earning significantly more than the minimum wage they champion, allegedly manipulating workers while enjoying high incomes.
The party claims that whistleblowers have revealed that Vase Deponova, president of the Union of Postal and Telecommunication Workers, earns an annual income of 794,000 denars. Trendafilov’s income is said to exceed 1.6 million denars per year, which the party argues disqualifies him from genuinely representing workers’ interests.
VMRO-DPMNE asserts that Trendafilov and his associates are using the union for personal enrichment, with SDS allegedly supporting them. The party believes that workers are aware of this exploitation and no longer trust the union leadership, viewing their actions as self-serving and profit-driven.
