An elderly man has died in Kavadarci following a fire in a residential building. Emergency services were called to a house on “Strasho Pindzur” street where they discovered the man’s body.

The 78-year-old was found at the scene of the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a burning gas cylinder.

Firefighters from TPPE Kavadarci responded to the incident, which occurred at 09:24 this morning. Two firefighters using one fire engine extinguished the blaze by 10:10.

Medical teams arrived at the scene and confirmed the man’s death. Authorities believe the victim likely suffocated due to the fire.
