Over the past weekend, authorities issued 2,553 payment orders due to traffic violations observed during nationwide traffic controls. The Ministry of the Interior reported that the majority of these violations pertained to the Law on Road Traffic Safety.

In addition to the overall total, 545 payment orders addressed improper parking, while 543 violations involved speeding. Authorities also issued 150 citations for mobile phone use while driving and 340 for failure to wear a seat belt. Twenty violations were recorded for motorcyclists not wearing helmets.

Further infractions included 252 individuals driving without a license and 104 driving under the influence of alcohol. Seven drivers ran red lights, and 12 pedestrians received sanctions.

Law enforcement removed 81 vehicles from traffic, with 28 removals due to technical malfunctions and 58 due to lack of registration. The Ministry of the Interior has announced that traffic controls will continue in the coming days.
