The Ministry of Interior reported that police issued 865 fines as part of intensified traffic controls across the country. The operation involved officers from all eight sectors for internal affairs within the Public Security Bureau.
Improper parking was the most common offense, accounting for 213 fines. Following closely were speeding violations, with 117 fines issued to drivers exceeding the permitted speed. Another 110 fines were given to individuals driving without a valid driver’s license.
Motorcyclists not wearing helmets received 128 misdemeanor payment orders. Additionally, four drivers were penalized for driving under the influence, and seven drivers were fined for running red lights. Five pedestrians also received misdemeanor charges.
Authorities issued 47 fines for not wearing seatbelts and 25 for unauthorized cell phone use while driving. Furthermore, 33 unregistered vehicles and 10 technically defective vehicles were removed from traffic.
