Traffic is currently interrupted on the A2 highway from Ohrid to Resen at the Bukovo pass because of a traffic accident, according to AMSM. Additionally, due to snowfall, several traffic restrictions are in effect.

A ban on traffic for heavy goods vehicles is in place on the Struga – g.p. Qafasan road since 19:30, as reported by JP “Macedonia Pat”. Furthermore, since 19:45, heavy goods vehicles are prohibited from using the Tetovo – Popova Shapka road, and all other vehicles on this route must use winter equipment, such as chains.

Earlier today, starting at 15:25, a ban on traffic for heavy goods vehicles was implemented on the Gostivar – Kichevo road via the Straza mountain pass and on the Mavrovo – Debar road section. From 16:20, a similar ban has been in effect on the Bitola – Resen road via the Gjavashto mountain pass, and from 17:00 on the Resen – Ohrid road via the Bukovo mountain pass.

AMSM reports that traffic on state roads is mostly occurring on wet surfaces. In some higher elevations in the western and southwestern regions of the country, remnants of slushy snow remain on the roadways, despite interventions by duty teams from “Macedonia Pat”.
