Traffic Controls Result in Numerous Fines for Various Violations

Over the weekend, police across the country issued 1,336 fines for traffic violations, including 212 for driving without a license. Law enforcement conducted these routine traffic controls nationwide.

A significant number of drivers, 121 in total, were caught driving under the influence of alcohol and were subsequently removed from the roads. Authorities also penalized 106 motorcyclists for failing to wear protective helmets.

Other violations included 168 instances of speeding, 173 cases of improper parking, and 100 individuals penalized for not using seat belts. These infractions fall under the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety.

Additionally, 39 drivers were fined for using mobile phones while driving, and 15 ran red lights. Authorities also issued citations to four pedestrians and two electric scooter drivers.

Police impounded 42 unregistered vehicles and one vehicle with technical issues, in accordance with the Law on Vehicles.

The Ministry of Interior has announced the continuation of traffic controls in the coming days. The ministry urges all road users to adhere to traffic laws and regulations to enhance road safety.
