The Municipality of Aerodrom has announced the successful completion of a thyroid screening project targeting ninth-grade students in all primary schools within the municipality. This initiative marks the first screening of its kind in North Macedonia.

The project, conducted over the past few months, was spearheaded by specialists Dr. Sinisha Stojanoski and Dr. Nevena Manevska. These specialists visited all primary schools within the municipality to perform the thyroid screenings.

The municipality expressed its gratitude to Dr. Stojanoski and Dr. Manevska for their dedication and hard work. The project also received support from socially responsible companies BI-MEK and Ragusa Group. The screenings were met with positive reception and cooperation from parents.

The Municipality of Aerodrom emphasizes that it is the first municipality in the country to undertake such a preventive examination. The municipality hopes that this initiative will become a regular practice, both within Aerodrom and in other municipalities across the country.
