Three Turkish students were arrested in Skopje following a report of an assault and robbery of a taxi driver. The suspects, identified as O.A.B. (19), K.I. (19), and E.H.B. (20), are students from Turkey with regulated temporary residence in North Macedonia.
The incident occurred on May 3rd at approximately 11:40 PM on “Goce Delchev” Blvd. in Skopje. I.R.K. (54), the taxi driver, reported to the police that three passengers physically assaulted him and stole his mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
Police officers from SIA Skopje responded immediately and were able to locate and arrest the three suspects. The stolen mobile phone was recovered and returned to the taxi driver.
A criminal complaint has been filed against O.A.B., K.I., and E.H.B. with the Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje, in accordance with Article 237 paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to robbery.
