The Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones, a state institution and signatory to the integrity policy, has demonstrated a significant improvement in its integrity system. Ranked 15th out of 50 institutions assessed by the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the Directorate achieved a 61.1% fulfillment rate, according to the Integrity Implementation Report.
This result marks a substantial increase from the “average” level to a “good” level compared to 2023, when the fulfillment percentage was 39.2%.
The improvement is attributed to the implementation of various measures, including the adoption of instructions for preventing conflict of interest, handling gifts and hospitality, a Code of Ethics, amendments to the rulebook on the use and management of official vehicles, and amendments to the instructions for official trips. Training on corruption prevention and the integrity system was also conducted.
The integrity system is crucial for building strong institutions and fostering public trust. It serves as a strategic mechanism for preventing corruption and promoting transparency by ensuring the consistent implementation of laws, ethical codes, and policies. This creates a clear framework and functional mechanisms for their application and protection.
The Directorate remains committed to further enhancing and comprehensively implementing its integrity system. This achievement reflects its dedication to legal, independent, impartial, ethical, responsible, and transparent work practices, safeguarding its reputation and mitigating the potential for corruption.
