Snezhana Konevski-Rusi Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award at “Vojdan Chernodrinski” Theatre Festival

Snezhana Konevski-Rusi, a prominent figure in Macedonian theater, film, and culture, has been awarded the lifetime achievement award of the “Vojdan Chernodrinski” Macedonian Theatre Festival for 2025. The award, proposed by the National Institution RSM Macedonian National Theatre, recognizes Konevski-Rusi’s extensive contributions to the performing arts over five decades.

Throughout her career, Konevski-Rusi has accumulated an impressive body of work, including 48 theater roles, 10 roles in series and films, and 20 direction and direction assistance credits. Her involvement extends beyond acting, encompassing screenwriting, hosting children’s music festivals, dubbing cartoons and TV projects, and creating children’s programs.

Konevski-Rusi’s dedication to theater is evident in her constancy on the stage, excellent diction, and consistently convincing acting skills. These qualities have made her a sought-after performer among directors and colleagues.

Her ability to convey complex characters to the audience in an easily understandable and intellectual way sets her apart. Her clear articulation and precise diction are considered key assets, ensuring that every word and its meaning are clearly heard.

Konevski-Rusi’s value and dedication have been recognized with several awards, including: award at the “Vojdan Chernodrinski” MTF – Prilep for the best acting achievement for the role of Margarita in the play “Richard III”, 1991; the “13 November” award of the City of Skopje for many years of significant achievements in the field of dramatic art, 1992; award at the “Vojdan Chernodrinski” MTF – Prilep for the episodic role of the Blind Girl in the play “Tavern under the Green Tree”, 1976; and the award of the newspaper “Mlad Borec” for the most successful young actor for the role of the Girl in the play “Dimna Juda, city builder” and for the monodrama “Ana Frank”, 1974.
