Seventeen municipalities have failed to apply for municipal infrastructure projects funded by the Hungarian credit line, according to the government. The deadline for applications is rapidly approaching, with just under a week remaining for local self-governments to register.
The municipalities that did not submit any project proposals include Saraj, Centar, Čair, Šuto Orizari, Lipkovo, Probishtip, Valandovo, Rosoman, Bogovinje, Vrapčište, Mavrovo Rostuše, Tearce, Debar, Struga, Bitola, and Kruševo, and Dolneni.
Minister of Local Self-Government, Zlatko Perinski, stated that 36 municipalities applied with projects valued at the maximum amount they were entitled to, based on a per capita formula. He also noted that 27 municipalities still have the opportunity to submit additional projects to reach their maximum allowable funding.
The government is urging all local self-governments to capitalize on this opportunity and adhere to the legally mandated registration deadline of April 30.
