SDSM: VMRO-DPMNE Blocked the New Clinical Center Project

The ruling SDSM party has accused VMRO-DPMNE of obstructing the construction of a new Clinical Center, a project initiated by the SDSM-led government. SDSM claims that VMRO-DPMNE chose to block the project instead of contributing to it, even though they had the opportunity to participate and oversee the process.

SDSM asserts that they proposed a comprehensive healthcare service model, similar to those in modern European countries, but that VMRO-DPMNE rejected this concept.

According to SDSM, the construction of a new Clinical Center has been prevented by VMRO-DPMNE’s blockades, and it will not be completed during the current government’s term.

SDSM also states that VMRO-DPMNE’s promises to build a new Clinical Center were false, and that their statements were merely empty promises to the public.

SDSM criticizes the current plans to expand the “8 Septemvri” hospital, calling it an ineffective improvisation that cannot replace a real, integrated Clinical Center. They claim that instead of a European healthcare model, citizens are facing a fragmented and dysfunctional system lacking basic conditions for treatment.

SDSM concludes that the government’s incompetence is destroying Macedonian healthcare, leading to medicine shortages, increased mortality rates, and growing waiting lists, with no new Clinical Center in sight. They predict further decline in healthcare under the current government.
