SDSM President Filipche Assesses Instability and Dysfunction Within Governing Coalition

The president of SDSM, Venko Filipche, has declared that the current governing coalition is unstable and not functioning effectively, citing conflicting statements about early elections and poor governmental performance. This assessment comes amidst growing concerns about the coalition’s ability to address key issues facing the country.

Filipche highlighted the public contradiction in statements regarding the possibility of early elections as a key indicator of internal discord. He asserted that the coalition’s dysfunction is palpable and negatively impacts the daily lives of citizens.

Furthermore, Filipche criticized the Government’s overall performance as “worrying on several levels.” He pointed to a “bad strategy in the economy,” the lack of capital investment realization, and delayed salary payments in numerous institutions. He specifically mentioned that essential institutions, including inspectorates and social services, have experienced payroll issues, alongside the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Economy.

Filipche also expressed grave concerns about the selectivity of the investigation into the recent tragedy in Kochani, stating that instead of ensuring full accountability, there appear to be efforts to shield individuals and officials from the Ministry of the Interior.
