The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) has issued a strong statement criticizing the Minister of Interior, Panche Toshkovski, following a fatal shooting in Bit Pazar. The party asserts that this incident highlights a severe breakdown in public safety and institutional functionality under Toshkovski’s leadership.
SDSM emphasizes that citizens across Skopje and the entire nation are increasingly feeling unsafe due to the escalating crime and violence. They claim that instead of proactive prevention and effective responses, there is institutional disarray and dysfunction within the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to SDSM, this incompetence puts lives at risk, and they question how many more deaths must occur before Minister Toshkovski accepts accountability. The party demands that Toshkovski immediately take responsibility for the compromised security situation.
SDSM is calling for an immediate and transparent investigation into the shooting incident. They insist on a complete clarification of the events and demand that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
Furthermore, SDSM is advocating for a reform of the security system and the implementation of stronger measures to enhance public safety, particularly in vulnerable areas. They state that citizens deserve to live without fear and that institutions must guarantee their security.
