SDSM Aerodrom: Where is the reconstruction of the sidewalks on Vladimir Komarov stuck?

The reconstruction of sidewalks on Vladimir Komarov Street in the Municipality of Aerodrom is progressing slowly, causing disruption and raising concerns about the project’s management and cost. SDSM Aerodrom criticizes the VMRO-DPMNE and acting Mayor Dejan Miteski for the delays and perceived incompetence.

The reconstruction of sidewalks, 450 meters long on one side of the street from Blvd. Jane Sandanski to Blvd. Vasko Karangelevski, has been ongoing for over a month. The project is contracted at 6.8 million denars with a 12-month deadline.

Simultaneous reconstruction on both sides of the street, coupled with inadequate signage, is compromising pedestrian safety. The road surface has also been visibly damaged during the sidewalk reconstruction, adding to traffic safety concerns.

SDSM Aerodrom raises several questions for the acting mayor, including the reason for the stalled reconstruction, the availability of funds for the project, and the absence of reconstruction plans for the other half of the street. They also question the disappearance of a previously promised bicycle path and criticize the length of time the current reconstruction is taking.

To illustrate the slow progress, SDSM Aerodrom compares the project to the swift reconstruction of four traffic lanes on Blvd. Dimitrija Chupovski during their term. They assert that the patience of Aerodrom residents is waning and demand accountability from VMRO-DPMNE and Miteski.
