Sasho Tasevski of the Drama Theatre Skopje has been awarded the prize for best supporting actor at the fourth annual “5RE” Theatre Festival in Veles. The award was given for his portrayal of Fester Addams in the Drama Theatre Skopje production of “The Addams Family.”

The jury, comprised of Aleksandar Georgiev, Aleksandar Ivanovski, and Mile Vrateovski, lauded Tasevski’s dynamic interpretation of the character. Their statement emphasized his ability to deliver a performance that captivated audiences through humor, energy, and acting skills. They specifically noted how he managed to maintain equilibrium between the comedic and sentimental components of the role.

“The Addams Family,” directed by Tea Begovska, who also wrote the adaptation, features a creative team that includes set designer Nikola Pijamanov, costume designers Ratka Dzambazovska Kocev and Rade Vasilev, and music composer Enes Begovski. Bojan Lazarov was responsible for the choreography.

The cast includes Predrag Pavlovski as Gomez Addams, Trajanka Ilieva Veljić as Morticia Addams, Gordana Endrovska as Grandma, Nina Elzeser as Wednesday Addams, Tomislav Davidovski as Pugsley Addams, Marjan Naumov as Lucas, Emilija Micevska as Debbie, Zlatko Mitreski as Lucas’s father, and Maja Veljković Panovska as Lucas’s mother.

Students from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Faculty of Theater Arts at the International University Europa Prima also contributed, playing the roles of GHOSTS.

The next performance of “The Addams Family” is scheduled for April 26th at 8 p.m. and will mark its thirteenth showing since its debut on December 25, 2024.
