A Romanian citizen has been expelled from North Macedonia for defrauding an elderly man. G.B. (30) was charged with fraud after selling kitchen utensils to a 72-year-old for 970 euros.

The Basic Court of Shtip convicted G.B. and sentenced him to expulsion from the country for three years.

According to the Ministry of Interior, G.B. misled the victim into believing the utensils were a genuine product of a well-known brand. After an investigation, authorities located and apprehended G.B.

During an official interview at the police station, G.B. confessed to the crime and returned the money to the victim.
