The Economic Chamber of Retail Traders has formally requested the Ministry of Economy to extend the deadline for businesses to create websites displaying product prices. The request is motivated by the challenges many small traders are facing in their digital transformation process.

The Chamber acknowledges the importance of a digital presence for competitive market operation. However, they emphasize that many small traders are still adapting technically, financially, and in terms of staffing.

According to the Chamber, additional time is needed for quality and sustainable implementation given the complexity of the matter. An extension would support all affected parties, particularly small business owners, and allow for a more inclusive and equitable transition to digitization.

The Chamber expects understanding and cooperation from relevant institutions. Their goal is to build a stable and competitive economy where all businesses have fair opportunities for growth. Without an extension, retailers with more than 10 employees are obligated to publish the prices of all products they offer, starting tomorrow.
