Deputy Minister for European Affairs Victoria Trajkov stated yesterday that regional cooperation is essential for accelerating European integration processes at a two-day panel discussion in Belgrade. The panel discussion focuses on “European projects for cross-border cooperation to improve the administrative capacities of the institutions of the Macedonian community in Serbia.”

Trajkov emphasized the friendly relations with Serbia and the mutual respect for the rights of communities. These elements enable the further deepening of the traditional friendship with our northern neighbor.

Continuing along the European path is the only option for countries in the region, according to Trajkov. This path will enable prosperity and well-being for all and will open opportunities for young people to remain in their native countries.

The realization of European projects, especially those involving cross-border cooperation, will aid in implementing reform processes, improving the situation in all spheres and enabling a better life for citizens.

The National Council of the Macedonian National Minority in the Republic of Serbia organized the panel discussion.
